Karol Serpa


Karol Serpa is a dedicated advocate for education, community development, and the power of soccer to transform lives. As the Vice President of Development for Mundialito, she leads the organization's growth initiatives, including sponsorships, fundraising, and the Mundialito Scholarship Program, ensuring that student-athletes in Rhode Island have access to opportunities that support their academic and athletic journeys. 

Born in Medellín, Colombia, Karol migrated to the United States at the age of four and was raised in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Her early experiences shaped her resilience and determination for achievement. Moving on to graduate high school and attend college while being a student athlete and working. She played soccer and ran track at Central Falls High School and later played soccer at the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). She has remained deeply connected to the sport as a former volunteer coach and lifelong player. 

Professionally, Karol has spent the last nine years in the healthcare field, with a strong focus on mental health over the past seven years. Her passion for education, personal growth, and breaking barriers fuels her commitment to Mundialito’s mission. 

As a mother of three, Karol is deeply invested in creating opportunities for youth. She believes that education and athletics go hand in hand in fostering discipline, resilience, and success. Her leadership in Mundialito ensures that more students have access to scholarships, mentorship, and the chance to showcase their talents on and off the field. She is proud to be a part of an organization that uplifts the community and empowers future generations
