TATIANA BAENA
Tatiana Baena is the President of Mundialito, a nonprofit organization she founded to unite communities through the love of soccer, foster youth development, and provide non-traditional scholarships for student-athletes in Rhode Island. A passionate leader with deep roots in Central Falls, Tatiana has spent the last decade building Mundialito into more than just a tournament—it has become a movement that empowers young athletes, promotes cultural pride, and strengthens local businesses through sponsorship and community engagement.
With a background in finance, education, policy, nonprofit management, and entrepreneurship, Tatiana has played a pivotal role in securing funding, forging key partnerships, and ensuring that Mundialito continues to expand its impact year after year.
Beyond Mundialito, Tatiana is a city councilor in Central Falls and an advocate for community-driven initiatives, small business development, and educational equity. As a mother, former coach, and lifelong soccer enthusiast, she understands firsthand the power of the game to inspire, connect, and transform lives.
Tatiana’s leadership, dedication, and passion for giving back continue to drive Mundialito forward as it celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, marking a decade of building bridges through soccer and creating lasting opportunities for the next generation.
